Saturday, April 29th, Northeastern Middle School competed at Junior State Academic Meet
held at East Central Middle School, St Leon, IN. We competed in Class III with Centerville – Abington, Union County, and South Ripley Jr High. All NMS teams had fun participating with the following results:
Second Place Finishers
- English/Language Arts Team (Olivia Harris, Danica Boggs, Cole Coddington - Mrs Williams, Coach). The English Team finished ranked 11th in the State – just out of the top 10 who
receives certificates from the State of Indiana.
- Social Studies Team (Kahlen Meyer, Amiyah Davis, Rosie Rankin, Brooklyn Stevens – Mr. Bevins, Coach). The Social Studies team finished 21st in the State of Indiana.
Fourth Place Finishers
- Math Team (Claire Mainous – Mrs. Cole, Coach). The Math team finished 39th in the State.
- Science Academic Team (Claire Mainous, Kahlen Meyer, Amiyah Davis, Makiya Johson –
Mr. Avery, Coach). The Science team finished 29th in the State.
- Interdisciplinary Team (Claire Mainous, Kahlen Myer, Amiyah Davis, Danica Boggs) finished in a three-way tie in total points but lost tie-breakers to get fourth place. The Interdisciplinary finished 31st in the State.
Northeastern Middle School is very proud of their academic teams. The team put sin a lot of hardwork throughout the year.
